Tupac Shakur’s murder has been an unsolved case for many decades. The influential Hip-Hop artist, also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveil, had his life tragically cut short on September 13, 1996, in a drive-by homicide in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the young age of 25.

According to the Associated Press, Duane “Keffe D” is one of the four suspects in Shakur’s death in the ongoing investigation.
“He isn’t the accused gunman but was described as the group’s ringleader by authorities Friday at a news conference and in court. In Nevada, you can be charged with a crime, including murder, if you help someone commit the crime,” stated the Associated Press.
According to CNN, retaliation led to Shakur’s death. On September 7, 1996, Shakur and Suge Knight, former CEO of Death Row Records, arrived in Las Vegas with his entourage to watch a heavy-weight fight between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon.
Shortly after, Shakur, Knight, and their entourage got into a physical altercation with a group that involved Davis and his nephew Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson. Once Davis found out, he took it upon himself to get a gun, which would result in Shakur’s Death.
In 2009, Davis admitted to the crime, but according to police, there wasn’t enough information.
“Going to keep it for the code of the streets. It just came from the back seat, bro,” stated Davis, describing himself as one of the suspects that witnessed the shooting.
