Gigi Hadid Speaks Out on Crisis in Hamas-Israel War

Gigi Hadid spoke out on Tuesday amid the massive, devastating ongoing attacks on Israel.

The supermodel made a public statement condemning the “terrorizing of innocent people” in the wake of Hamas’ significant attacks on Israel, which led to Israel’s declaration of war over the weekend.

“I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it’s a responsibility I hold daily,” she wrote.

She added, “I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person.”

Gigi Hadid, a vocal advocate for the movement and Palestinian rights, has consistently expressed her support for the cause.

Her sister, Bella Hadid, who is also known for her strong stance on the issue, has not yet commented on the recent conflict.

Hadid maintains her prayers for the victims and their families and expresses her concern for the ongoing tragedy. She conveys that her thoughts are with all those impacted by this unjustifiable crisis, particularly the innocent lives, including many children, lost to this conflict.

In the early hours of Saturday, the Hamas militant faction, in control of the Gaza Strip, breached the Israeli border, resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives, including both soldiers and civilians, and the capture of numerous hostages.

In response, Israel launched a swift and aggressive counterattack, officially declaring a state of war. This retaliation involved an extensive series of airstrikes on Gaza, leaving the local civilian population in a dire predicament.

Tragically, the casualty count has already surpassed 1,900 lives lost, including 27 Americans.
