Ariana Grande Is Reportedly Working on New Music

Ariana Grande fans no longer have to wonder about new music as reports reveal the singer is in the recording studio, working on her seventh album.

The “motive” singer did plan to work on new music in the future but did not expect it to be so soon, as she is currently in a lead role for the upcoming movie musical Wicked. Sources close to Grande revealed that the Wicked actress wanted to focus “all her energies” on the filming adaption before working on any music. 

“Her priority has been Glinda for the past two years, and still is, as they haven’t finished the film,” a source revealed. “She doesn’t know when she’ll want to release as she wants to be respectful of the timeline for Wicked, and originally didn’t want to do any music at all until after the films were released.”

The pause in production because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes led to Grande occupying her free time by working on new music. According to Page Six, Grande is in the studio with producer Max Martin, who also worked on the hit 2020 record Positions. 

In the past, Martin and Grande have worked on several of her albums, such as Dangerous Woman, and produced singles like “No Tears Left to Cry,” “God Is a Woman,” “Break Up with Your Girlfriend,” and “I’m Bored,” among many other songs.

Aside from working on new music, the superstar does not plan to slow down as she continues to immerse herself in different projects to further her career amid the pause in film production. In the meantime, she also found love with her Wicked costar, Ethan Slater.

There isn’t a confirmed date for the release of her next studio album, but fans can look forward to new music when that day comes.
