Live-Action Remakes From Disney in the Making
Disney is in the process of creating live-action remakes of the popular animated films Frozen, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Tarzan.
Popular films from Disney have resurfaced into becoming live-action remakes that will be released at a later time. Similar projects have occurred in the past, including Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, along with the recent additions of The Little Mermaid and Mulan. Both films generated over $1 billion at the box office. With such popularity and impressive results, Disney decided to continue the trend.

Moana was the main movie to start this new wave. It was just the beginning of adapting Disney films from the 21st century. There was barely any doubt that people would not be interested in seeing these live-action remakes, specifically Frozen. The film has become one of Disney’s staples throughout the past decade. Now, Frozen 3 is in talks to be made into a live show for people to go and see.
How Many Live-Action Remakes From Disney?
Rumors have spun around on who specifically would come to work for these productions. Although, each film is still in its early stages of making. No one knows who will be a part of each production, including who the director or the actors will be portraying the roles. Also, there are still multiple rumors up in the air of whether any of the classic Disney movies will be remade into live-action.

One specific movie that is rumored to be in the works is the live-action Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Currently, there is not too much information about it, but suspicions were drawn when Disney acknowledged the film’s 20th anniversary in 2021. Due to the writing strike ending, scripts are just being started and there are no insights on who would be playing which characters.
Disney is involved in discussions on which, if any, of their classics will go into production as a live-action remake. By doing so, Disney will most likely set a high box office rating due to the popularity of the movies.
