Davido Announces the Birth of Twins and a New Documentary
Nigerian afrobeat artist, Davido and his wife, Chioma Rowland, find happiness once again after welcoming their twins, following the death of their song last year.
Images of Chioma leaving the hospital with two babies have been circulating online, leading fans to speculate that they had twins. Later, Davido confirmed this rumor to be true.
Being a panelist at the UnitedMasters SelectCon 005 in New York, Davido shared the birth of his twins, to Steve Stouts, as he discussed the origin of Afrobeats.
“When me and my wife found out we were shaking like, what the fuck?” Davido explained. “It was in the same month my son passed last year, October. My wife gave birth this year, October. So, it’s crazy.”
Furthermore, he also shared he was starting to lose faith in God following the incident. “I was at the point of giving up. I thought I was never going to be able to even sing ever again.”
“I’m telling God I’m not doing this no more, and after that, I’ve had my most successful year. I’ve had my biggest album,” he stated.
Davido continued, “A lot of people that those things happen to, you would never want to believe in God ever in your life, but to still have faith and to still be able to do what I love, having a great team around me and just focus it, you know what I’m saying, and now we’re special man. We’re almost at the finish line.”
In addition, many fans expressed their happiness on X, formerly known as Twitter, for Davido and wife Chioma.

Moreover, a Netflix Documentary is in the works as Davido confirmed that the series will be released this upcoming November.
“I have a movie coming out in December with Netflix,” Davido stated. “It’s very, very big. This is the first time I’ve said anything about it, actually. It’s a documentary–a docu-series about my life, called ‘David’. I shouldn’t be talking about this, but yeah.”
