Mariah Carey, the Queen of Christmas, has “defrosted” ringing in the holiday season with a festive video she posted at midnight, the day after Halloween.

Mariah Carey shared the release of the video on X. She wrote, “It’s…… TIME!!!” followed by a pumpkin, ice cube, and Christmas tree emoji, ending with #MariahSZN.

The 34-second clip reveals an animated clock that counts down from October 31 to November 1. In the hilarious short clip, Mariah Carey is trapped inside a frozen safe, surrounded by skeletons, pumpkin heads, and ghouls that blow dry a block of ice. Carey eventually breaks free as she sings, “It’s time,” releasing a giggle, before singing her iconic “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hit has become an annual tradition on November 1 for the superstar. Last year, she came into the festive season in a spooky way, which she transformed into a witch pedaling on a Peloton bike before showing off her Christmas attire in a Santa suit.

The song has become an anthem, and as the holiday season approaches, one can hear it playing everywhere they go. It has even led to the superstar generating royalties. According to EquityAtlas, as of 2023, the popular song earns Carey an estimated 600,000 to 1 million annually.

Due to the song’s popularity, it has led fans to declare November 1 as Carey’s national holiday. The hashtag MariahSZN speaks for itself, as the public knows once November and December come around, it’s her season.
