Jason Momoa To Host New SNL Episode with Tate McRae as Musical Guest
Saturday Night Live unveiled their new hosts and musical guests for November. On November 18, actor Jason Momoa and singer Tate McRae will be making their debut live from New York.
On Monday morning, SNL broke the news via Instagram of their hosts for its November 18 episode.
The Aquaman actor is hosting for his second time while McRae is making her SNL debut for the pre-Thanksgiving episode.
Momoa made his debut as Host on December 8, 2018, while also making future cameos in 2019 and 2020.
Tate McRae has been growing as an artist since her popular single “You Broke Me First” topped the charts in 2021. Following her rise to fame, her newest single “Greedy” has over 260 million streams on Spotify.
Her debut studio album, I Used to Think I Could Fly, was released in 2022.
As a singer, songwriter, and dancer, Tate McRae is no stranger to taking center stage. McRae first entered the spotlight competing in Season 13 of So You Think You Can Dance at age thirteen, becoming the reality show’s first Canadian finalist. She previously performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Capital Live Summertime Ball 2022.
McRae broke the news about her first World Tour in 2024.
The next episode will take place a week following the November 11 pairing of “Gen Z darlings” Timothée Chalamet and Boygenius, according to Variety.
Momoa’s appearance after Chalamet’s turn on November 11 is great news specifically for fans of the 2021 film Dune, in which Chalamet starred as Paul Atreides and Momoa as his aide, Duncan Idaho.
