Megan Fox opens up about the hardest times in her life, including her miscarriage in her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.

The actress has starred in multiple movie roles throughout the years, such as Transformers and Jennifer’s Body. Now she has released a poetry book that has some people questioning if it has more meaning than it appears. In two of the poems, it seems it is describing a miscarriage. Fox writes about an ultrasound of a baby girl at 10 weeks and a day, sharing, “maybe if you hadn’t… maybe if i had…”.

Moreover, she delved into her inter-personal dynamics in many of the poems, “Relationships are complicated. For most of us it’s not a fairy tale. Relationships are not pretty. They are ugly. Sometimes they are a war. But through a wound enters an opportunity to grow and become a stronger more whole version of yourself.” Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have been engaged, and they are going strong. Additionally, she has three kids; Noah, Bodhi, and Journey with ex Brian Austin Green. She has always mentioned writing poetry is an important outlet for her.

Although Fox has enjoyed her acting career so far, she explains that acting doesn’t give her the outlet to express herself as much as in poetry. She has always been in touch with her emotions, but the men she dated would put her down or make her feel embarrassed about it. Thus, it would only make her feel more insecure and timid about how she was truly feeling.

In addition, Fox also writes about being in abusive relationships with poems called “Don’t Worry Darling” and “Oxycodone and Tequila.” These poems divulge the abuse she experienced throughout her life. She describes being called words that are used to put down women and how she felt at that time.

Fox’s poetry collection Pretty Boys Are Poisonous is available for purchase on Amazon.
