Tis the Season: Jimmy Fallon and Meghan Trainor Announce New Holiday Song ‘Wrap Me Up’
It’s time to get back in the holiday spirit with new celebrity holiday songs.
On Thursday, Jimmy Fallon uploaded a skit to Instagram announcing his new holiday song with Meghan Trainor.
The video begins with a FaceTime call between Jimmy Fallon and TikTok star, Chris Olsen.
“I was wondering if you could come by my office,” Fallon asked Olsen over the phone, “I have something for you.”
Once arriving at his office, Fallon hands Olsen a green-wrapped present with a red bow asking, “You know who to get this to right?” Olsen hesitantly replies “Yes,” Fallon immediately shows him the way out and closes the door behind him.
The first sneak peek of “Wrap Me Up” features Trainor singing in the video, “Wrap me up in your arms this Christmas. Wrap me up, you don’t need a wishlist” as Olsen is endeavoring his commute to LAX from the JFK airport.
What’s Inside the Holiday Present?
Inside the wrapped gift is a handwritten note from Fallon that states, “Meghan, it’s almost Christmas…Can we release our song now?”
“Wrap Me Up” will be Fallon’s fourth holiday single. Last year, the Tonight Show host and Dolly Parton produced “Almost Too Early For Christmas.” In 2021, he collaborated with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion for “It was A..(Masked Christmas).”
Other artists, including Paul McCartney, The Roots, and John Rich, have appeared in previous holiday singles.
Pop Crave also announced the new song on X a couple of hours after Fallon’s upload. Fans had a variety of responses to the tweet.
