Last Friday, Macaulay Culkin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Home Alone star celebrated with a post on Instagram.

The iconic child actor was surrounded by his family and friends in Los Angeles where he made an acceptance speech. His wife Brenda Song, and their two sons were in the crowd.

In an emotional speech, Culkin praised his wife, Brenda “You are absolutely everything. You’re my champion.” The actress was shown tearing up in the crowd.

What perfect timing for a Home Alone reunion? Culkin was joined by his on-screen mother, Catherine O’Hara, at the ceremony to reveal his new star. O’Hara portrayed the star’s mother in both films in the 1990s. In a speech, she reflected on watching Culkin become a huge star as a young boy.

“The reason families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together is because of Macaulay Culkin,” O’Hara stated.

She acknowledged that Culkin had an “excellent script” and a “wonderful director.” O’Hara added “but it is Macaulay’s perfect performance as Kevin McCallister that gave us that little every boy on an extraordinary adventure.”

Culkin concluded the speech by thanking O’Hara with a hug and an iconic line from Home Alone stating, “I just wanna say merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.”

Natasha Lyonne, who starred alongside Culkin in 2003’s Party Monster, also spoke at the ceremony. “Mac, I’m so proud of you,” she stated. Other attendees included Culkin’s siblings Rory and Quinn, Party Monster co-star Seth Green, and his Goddaughter Paris Jackson.
