The unexpected news solidified that spinning the block is sometimes worth it. Social media’s favorite couple has recently been spotted happier than ever since rekindling their romance in September.
The “Body On Me” couple started dating in 2003 but dealt with some ups and downs during a 10-year on-again, off-again relationship before marking the end of their romance in 2013. According to USWeekly, a source confirmed the news about the couple expecting their first child together on Monday.
The rumors of the “Baby” singer possibly expecting began over the weekend when the couple attended the “Ride Wit Me” rapper Black & White Ball event in his native St. Louis. During the event, the pair performed some of their greatest hits, and at one point, both Ashanti and Nelly placed their hands on her stomach, hinting at a bun in the oven in a TikTok video.

Although this would be Ashanti’s first child, this would be Nelly’s third child. Additionally, the couple has not come forward to confirm the news. Meanwhile, while most fans are thrilled about the possible news, others are spreading negativity, and one fan came to the defense of Ashanti.
