The singer, who was with her former manager of 10 years, hasn’t come out publicly to confirm the news. Sources from People have confirmed the decision to split from Braun came from Grande.
“They are friendly, but she’s outgrown him and is excited to go in a different direction,” the source stated. “Yes, there are negotiations happening because of contracts. But this is her choice. It’s time for something new.”
Furthermore, Braun opened up about his working relationship with Grande. “I could have said a lot of stuff, and in fact, my team wanted me to because they were so p–,” he mentioned. “But I said, we’re not gonna say a word, and this is gonna come back around.”
In the past, the Grammy award winner and her former manager have worked on several projects, including Grande’s first album, “Yours Truly,” released in 2013. Although the two worked with one another for a decade, there have been times when they did not see eye to eye. Grande reportedly fired and rehired Braun on multiple occasions.
Meanwhile, Grande is just one of the few A-list celebrities who cut ties with Braun. Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and Broadway actress Idina Menzel are some of the others who left, Insider reports.
Recently, the singer was seen in the recording studio working on a secret project. She shared a few moments in a series of photos and muted videos via Instagram.
