McDonald’s Is Launching a New Chain Called CosMc’s
McDonald’s is looking to take major coffee shops out of business with their new spinoff brand CosMc’s, which focuses on serving drinks and snacks. The fast-food giant will open their first location this week in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
The new name for the brand comes from the corporation’s alien mascot in McDonaldland. According to FOX59, the mascot appeared in advertisements from the late 1980s to the early 1990s and is often seen in the “M.C.Kids” video game.
The new chain recently posted for the first time on Instagram. CosMc’s shared a galaxy image, followed by pictures of the CosMc’s logo sign and a special pink drink.
“We come from a place where gravity doesn’t exist, and galaxies are traveled at light speed. So if you need a bold flavorful boost and a quick getaway we got the drinks and bites you need to take you to your happy place,” stated CosMc’s.
According to the corporation, the new chain plans to open 10 CosMc’s locations across the Falls-Fort Worth and San Antonio areas by the end of 2024. CosMc’s menu will offer customers a variety of bold and tasty drinks to indulge in and quench their thirst.
The selection of drinks includes staple hot and cold drinks, such as teas and lemonades. The menu also features blended beverages like “Sour Cherry Energy Slush, Tropical Spiced and S’mores.”
Meanwhile, the food menu will include exciting dishes like the Spicy Queso Sandwich, Brown Bites, tasty cookies, brownies, and the Caramel Fudge Brownie Sundae.
The development of the new chain does not stop the regular McDonald’s stores from expanding to more locations. The corporation plans to open “10,000 McDonald’s sites globally by 2027,” mainly in China.
The competition is steep for these fast-food chains. Brands need to look out because CosMc’s is heading your way. Learn more about CosMc’s in the video below.
