Demi Lovato and Jordan Lutes Happily Announce Their New Engagement

Demi Lovato and Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes are engaged after dating for over a year.

Demi Lovato and Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes have officially announced their engagement to fans and the media. The couple first went public with their romance back in August 2022 and got engaged last Saturday in Los Angeles.

Lutes is a 32-year-old songwriter who first met Lovato in January 2022 when co-writing her song “Substance.” Lutes proposed with a bespoke pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring created by New York City jewelry boutique Material Good.

Following their “personal and intimate proposal,” the couple headed over to their favorite restaurant, Craig’s, to celebrate with friends and family.

Lovato had begun opening up to the media about the two’s relationship earlier this year when introducing her upcoming album. “I definitely am in a really good place,” Lovato informed CBS when promoting her new music.

“I don’t know what I’m going to write about on my next album because I’m so happy. It is a really good feeling … definitely a bunch of sappy love songs — for sure,” she continued.

In July, the singer shared more about the two’s relationship again. When speaking on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, Lovato explained that they were “friends first and foremost.”

“We were friends first. We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well, after we told each other how we felt,” shared the star.

After over a year of their romance going public, the two are still gushing for one another. The head-over-heels couple both rocked an all-black ensemble for their engagement dinner and low-key photo shoot.

“I’m still speechless. last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life @jutesmusic..,” posted Lovato on her Instagram.

Lutes displayed similar feelings in his own post. “Yesterday I asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes. I can’t imagine life without you and thank god now I’ll never have to. feeling like the luckiest man alive right now. I’m so in love with you @ddlovato.”
