With multiple Star Wars films announced, such as The Mandalorian and Grogu, Lucasfilm plans on building its television series.
Ahsoka gained widespread attention as a fan favorite in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, released in 2008 and supervised by Dave Filoni. The series aired on Cartoon Network. She was voiced by Ashley Eckstein, who voiced her in Disney’s Star Wars: Rebels and cameoed in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Filoni got the chance to end this beloved series in 2020 with a delayed final season, which gave Ahsoka interesting storylines.
Ahsoka showed massive potential as a live-action presence and did not appear until Dawson brought her to life in season two of The Mandalorian.
One of the aspects of season one that fans enjoyed was the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. Christensen’s fans helped garner momentum to bring him back after Disney bought the property from George Lucas in 2012.
Christensen also appeared in the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series and made a tiny voice cameo in The Rise of Skywalker. Critics saw him as a bright spot in Ahsoka. Fans also enjoyed Ariana Greenblatt, who portrayed young Ahsoka in flashback sequences.
