The four new Barbies’ include the Studio Executive Barbie doll wearing a 2-piece outfit, along with shoes, sunglasses, and a smartphone.
The second Barbie is the Director Barbie doll which is taller and is wearing a jumpsuit, shoes, headset, and has a film script.
The third Movie Star Barbie doll has a curvy body and adorns a pink bedazzeled gown and heels, along with a necklace, bracelet, and an award trophy.
And lastly, the Cinematographer Barbie doll. It has the look of the “Stereotypical Barbie.” The doll is wearing a “Chase Dreams” top, black leopard print pants, and shoes. Additionally, it also has a film camera and a clapboard.
The Career of the Year announcement follows a few days after Barbie won a Golden Globe for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Additionally, Barbie was the “first billion-dollar film with a female director.” This award show season is a pivotal time for women in the industry, witnessing the history of many “firsts.”
