Roses Make a Comeback in Latest Spring Fashion Trends
The Spring/Summer 2024 season is around the corner. What’s the mood? Romance. Specifically, romance represented through roses.
Rosamund Pike was the picture of spring in her BAFTA tea party look. She wore a dainty Simone Rocha dress with pink, long-stemmed roses sewn into the tulle. “Days of wine and roses. This felt whimsical and witty and painterly,” Pike mused in an Instagram post for the event. She perfectly summed up the romantic themes for this upcoming season.
According to Vogue, Pike’s beautiful ensemble comes from Rocha’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, “Dress Rehearsal,” which featured many more cleverly placed rose motifs. “Dress Rehearsal” toys with nerves felt the night before a wedding. Through this collection, Rocha sought to subvert traditional romantic themes by combining disorientation and love through the medium of a rose. Other brands have incorporated the queen of flowers into their spring collections as well, including Balmain and Alexander McQueen.
Clearly, roses are the signature flower of the season this year. You too can follow along with the designers and adorn yourself with symbols of romance for spring in these gorgeous rosy dresses and accessories.
