A24 has released several collaborations that will be on the Stop Making Sense Talking Heads tribute album. Here’s what you need to know.

On January 31, A24 took to X to announce the upcoming collaborations for Stop Making Sense: A Tribute Album, stating, “Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Stop Making Sense Tribute Album – coming soon.” This is not the first time we’ve received information about this exciting project. Both A24 and Paramore hinted at the collaboration via socials on January 10.

With the tribute album’s announcement, the Paramore cover for “Burning Down the House” was released, making the album’s lead single. Hayley Williams’ powerful voice and Paramore’s unique instrumental style perfectly fit the theme, paying homage to David Byrne and 80s music culture.

Paramore isn’t the only collaboration to look forward to, though. A24 has posted a video with all sixteen artists that will appear on the project, including the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lorde, The National, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract, BADBADNOTGOOD, Toro y Moi, Blondshell, DJ Tunez, Jean Dawson, Chicano Batman, El Mató, and The Cavemen. Fans took to social media to express their passion for the exciting news, as this is the first time artists like Lorde have released music in years.

Girl in red will also be featured, as her cover of “Girlfriend Is Better” is seemingly the one used in the promotional video. Throughout the 20-second clip, the artist repeats the phrase “stop making sense” as the names of the collaborators roll over a multicolored video of the band.

The video ends with a simple “Coming Soon,” leaving listeners wanting more and filling them with anticipation. While we don’t know the track list or release date yet, one thing’s for certain: this album is sure to bridge the musical gap between generations.
