The Last Showgirl Adds Stunning New Cast
Gia Coppola’s new film, The Last Showgirl, has rounded out a picture-perfect cast. The film was penned by Kate Gersten (The Good Place). Robert Schwartzman and Natalie Farrey will produce, and Kara Durrett and Jesse Burgum of Pinky Promise will serve as executive producers.
The Last Showgirl follows “a seasoned showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run. As a dancer in her fifties, she struggles with what to do next. As a mother, she strives to repair a strained relationship with her daughter, who often took a backseat to her showgirl family.”
Pamela Anderson (Baywatch), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Dave Bautista (My Spy), Brenda Song (The Social Network), Kieran Shipka (Mad Men), and Billie Lourd (Ticket to Paradise) have all signed on to the film.
Coppola expressed enthusiasm for her upcoming endeavor, revealing, “I’ve always wanted to make a movie in Vegas. I’m so proud of our cast and crew, especially Pamela. I can’t wait to share her daring and heartfelt performance!”
Robert Schwartzman adds, “Dream project, dream cast. We couldn’t be more honored and appreciative of the chance to tell an authentic Las Vegas story that pays homage to the iconic Showgirl, told through Gia’s unique sense of style and visual storytelling.”
We could not be any more excited about this incredible cast and film. In the meantime, fans can watch Coppola’s directorial debut, Palo Alto, on Tubi.
