Beyoncé Hints at a Country Era for Her New Album
After Beyoncé’s appearance at the 66 annual Grammy Awards, fans speculate that the singer may be entering a country era.
On February 4, Beyoncé attended the Grammys alongside her daughter and husband. Jay-Z accepted the Dr. Dre Global Impact award with Blue Ivy at his side.
The music star did not attend with any nominations for herself; however, she donned a Louis Vuitton set. The ensemble included a black leather jacket and skirt with silver studs and a checkered pattern.

The outfit was the latest design she wore by Pharrell Williams, who made looks for the star on the Renaissance World Tour. On Beyoncé’s Instagram, she shared a photo, pairing the dark outfit with blonde locks and a white cowgirl hat by Stetson.
Her blonde hair was in a simple, straight hairstyle, along with warm makeup. In addition, her red manicure made for some attention, paired with various diamond rings.
Last year at the Grammys, the artist was nominated for Song and Record of the Year for “Break My Soul” and Album of the Year for “Renaissance.” However, the Recording Academy did not vote in her favor. Regardless, the 32-time Grammy winner has made many appearances at the award ceremony.
Fans believe that Beyoncé’s outfit choice was strategic and is a hint towards Act 2 of her previous album, Renaissance. While she wore many different kinds of cowboy hats on her Renaissance World tour, fans took her Grammy attire as a signal.
Although there is no certainty that “Renaissance: Act 2” will comprise country songs, Beyoncé is no stranger to the genre. Her 2016 hit, “Daddy Issues,” had a country music feel that fans could detect. Houston, Texas, is regarded for its roots in country music. An album, as fans suspect, would be a way to honor her hometown. Nonetheless, the star has yet to announce when the follow-up album will be released.
Beyoncé already has fans anticipating her next move regarding Act 2. For now, the BeyHive should shuffle Renaissance while they wait.
