‘Flowers’ by Miley Cyrus Reaches New Heights on YouTube
Miley Cyrus’ hit single, “Flowers,” reached new accomplishments as it recently achieved 700 million views on YouTube.
Cyrus performed her single and won Record of the Year for “Flowers” at the Grammys as well. She had one of the most memorable performances of the night, with many jokes mid-performance. In between her award acceptances, she called out the crowd during her performance of the 2023 hit. “Why are you acting like you don’t know this song?” Cyrus poked fun at the crowd.
She was also among the most-nominated artists at the ceremony, with six Grammy nominations.

She last performed on the Grammy stage in 2019 with Shawn Mendes, performing a duet of his song “In My Blood.” She also performed for the first time in 2009 with Taylor Swift on “Fifteen.”
The former Disney Channel star even added some extra adlibs to the well-known lyrics. “I didn’t want to leave you (but had to), I didn’t want to fight (but we did), and I started to cry but then remembered—I just won my first Grammy.”
Cyrus’ acceptance speech proved to be very passionate for many. “There was a little boy that all he wanted for his birthday was a butterfly. So his parents gave him a butterfly net and he was so excited. He went outside in the sun and started swinging and swinging. But with no luck, he sat down on the ground, he finally let go and he surrendered.” Cyrus explained. “He was okay that he was not going to capture this beautiful butterfly. Right when he did is when the butterfly came and landed right on the tip of his nose. And this song, ‘Flowers,’ is my butterfly. Thank you,” she shared.
