Caroline Polachek Releases New Deluxe Version of Desire, I Want to Turn Into You
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Caroline Polachek (again). The “Sunset” singer released a deluxe edition of her last album, Desire, I Want to Turn Into You.
Caroline Polachek’s Desire, I Want to Turn Into You, turned one on Valentine’s Day. In honor of the occasion, the singer announced Desire, I Want To Turn Into You: Everasking Edition. The deluxe features seven new tracks:
“Dang”
“Spring Is Coming With A Strawberry In The Mouth”
“Butterfly Net” (feat. Weyes Blood)
“Meanwhile”
“Coma”
“Gambler’s Prayer”
“I Believe” (Acoustic Version)
Polachek took to Instagram, writing, “Desire was already a constellation of sounds; the Everasking Edition is here to Extend its outer Extremes, in Every direction ✵ Final form, so old, so new.” She revealed that the project features two cover songs that “addicted and inspired her” to create Desire.
Before the release of the Everasking edition, Polachek released her collaboration with Weyes Blood. The track was a remix of “Butterfly Net.”
Polachek states of her last record, “Desire was about ‘unlearning technique’ and feeling lost inside the songs… Feeling so connected to antiquity and all the plagues that have happened over and over and how resilient art and artists have been brought me back to life.”
