Get in, loser; we’re watching the hit comedy Mean Girls (2024) at home. From Paramount Home Entertainment, the musical film adaptation of Mean Girls was digitally released on February 20.

The new musical film adaptation of Mean Girls is now available on Digital, and a physical collector’s edition of the 2004 film will be released on April 30.

Released theatrically on January 12, this new twist on Mean Girls brings the 12-time Tony-nominated Broadway musical to the silver screen. Angourie Rice portrays Cady Heron, the fish-out-of-water high school newbie from Kenya. Reneé Rapp, who starred in the Broadway production in 2019, reprises her role as queen bee Regina George. The other two Plastics, Karen and Gretchen, are portrayed by Avantika Vandanapu and Bebe Wood, respectively.

Auliʻi Cravalho and Jaquel Spivey embody best friends Janis and Damian. Christopher Briney is heartthrob Aaron Samuels, and Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprise their roles from the 2004 film as Ms. Norbury and Principal Duvall.

Described as a “fun and fetch spin on Tina Fey’s timeless teen story” in Us Weekly, Mean Girls (2024) updates the film to reflect today’s high school culture while remaining authentic to the source material. Energetic, immersive musical numbers enhance the story and characters fans know and love.

Fans who purchase the film on Digital can access over 30 minutes of behind-the-scenes content, including interviews with Tina Fey and the cast, an inside look at filming the elaborate musical numbers, blooper reels, select sing-along videos, and more. Mean Girls (2024) and Mean Girls (2004) are also now available in a two-film collection on Digital.

April 30 will mark 20 years since the iconic film debuted in theaters. To celebrate, Paramount is releasing Mean Girls in 4K Ultra HD for the first time. This special edition anniversary release comes in a collectible, hot pink case with a limited-edition sleeve featuring the notorious Burn Book. There is plenty of behind-the-scenes content here as well, including an exclusive featurette entitled “Mean Girls: Class of ’04”, commentary from director Mark Waters, Tina Fey, and producer Lorne Michaels, a blooper reel, deleted scenes with optional commentary, and more.

Mean Girls (2024) can be purchased or rented digitally on YouTube, Google Play, and Amazon Prime Video.
