Two months after giving birth to her fourth child, “Level Up” singer Ciara is seen posing and flaunting her post-baby curves as she takes pictures by a luxurious pool.

In a post that she captioned, “Embrace every stage of life.” In the picture, the “Get Up” singers wears a maroon one-piece bathing suit, a gold necklace, and ankle-length braids holding a drink.

The post is a reel comprised of pictures and videos of Ciara proudly showing off the body that gave birth to her four children, Future, Sienna, Win, and Amora, three of whom she shares with her husband, Russell Wilson. During the reel, Grammy-award-winning artist Tyla’s “Truth or Dare” plays in the background.

The 38-year-old garnered many positive reactions from the public, praising her for showing and being proud of the reality that women’s bodies don’t always snap back immediately after childbirth.

Many people applauded Ciara for not giving in to “Snapback culture,” which is a widely held belief that a woman’s body should return to its original state shortly after she gives birth. This belief is not only incredibly destructive to the mental health of postpartum women but also is highly unattainable for many women.

Ciara’s viral post sends a message of body positivity and self-love as she challenges the unrealistic expectations that society has placed on women, particularly after childbirth. She has since sparked conversations about the toxic standards that postpartum women are held to, as well as inspired thousands of women to embrace the bodies that brought life into the world.

In 2021, Ciara did an interview with Oprah about embracing her body after giving birth to her third child, where she stated, “With this pregnancy, in particular, I chose to embrace every step of the process. I’m really enjoying my curves. I think my goal may change this go-around versus what I used to want my goal to be. I may want to hold on to five more pounds than I normally would. But because I’m loving where I am, I’m embracing every bit of the process, and it is somewhat a new me.”

She also explained that after her first two pregnancies, she placed too much pressure on herself to snap back and was changing her approach. Like her third pregnancy, Ciara is taking on the perspective of embracing the process and enjoying her new curves. We applaud her and wish her and her family nothing but the best.
