First Look At Borderlands Film and Exciting Cast
The first look of the upcoming live-action film adaptation of the video game franchise Borderlands was revealed, including a teaser trailer, star-studded cast, and a never-before-seen poster.
The cast reveal is very exciting, with a talented line-up of actors. It includes Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth) who will portray the lead Lilith. Moreover, Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie) embodies Tiny Tina, and Emmy Award winner Jack Black (School of Rock) voices Claptrap. In addition, it will also include Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween) as Tannis, comedian and actor Kevin Hart (Ride Along) as Roland, and many more names.
Many of the actors immediately took to social media to share the news, including Kevin Hart who portrays Roland, posted the 10-second-long teaser trailer on his Instagram. The actors also confirmed that the official trailer for the film will be released on February 20.
Moreover, Borderlands will be getting its very own cinematic universe. The new film follows a team of heroes as they work to save the universe by venturing through the fictional planet of Pandora to track down a missing girl who could change the trajectory of the world. Throughout the story the quirky, fan-loved team will face aliens, bandits, and monsters, holding the world’s fate in their hands as they search for the girl and work together as a team.
The film is directed by writer, producer, director, and actor Eli Roth, the director of Thanksgiving. Roth wrote the screenplay with Joe Crombie, and the film is partnering with the producers of Uncharted, Spider-Man, and Venom. It will also be distributed by Lionsgate Films.
The official Borderlands film Instagram account posted never-before-seen photos for fans on their page earlier today, picturing a photo of each of the characters to get us excited for what’s to come.
Moreover, Ariana Greenblatt, who stars in the film posted on her Twitter account the exciting first ever poster for the film.
