Harry Styles ‘Stalker’ With Startling Charge Appears in Court
Harry Styles has received a shocking 8,000 cards from a crazed fan. Myra Carvalho virtually appeared in Harrow Crown Court on February 20 on behalf of her stalking charge from Styles.
Carvalho, a 35-year-old Brazilian woman, appeared in court on the account of delivering Harry Styles 8,000 handwritten cards in less than a month.
The “As It Was” singer has reportedly received thousands of handwritten letters during Carvalho’s time in the UK. Court documents show Carvalho having stayed at a backpacker motel in Earls Court, West London since December 2023.
Prosecutors suspect of the 8,000 cards sent, a select few were wedding cards. Furthermore, the court was told two letters were hand-delivered to Styles’ address. How Carvalho found the singer’s home has not yet been reported. Her family was unaware of her travels, the court heard.
Carvalho appeared remotely via a video link from HMP Bronzefield Prison in Surrey, UK. She wore a black coat and gloves, only speaking to confirm her name during the brief hearing. She did not enter a plea.
Fans expressed shock at the dedication level and the expenses it would require to send this amount of mail. Moreover, one X user wrote, “Almost 250 letters a day??? Single-handedly funding the British postal services.”

In 2019, a non-binary, homeless individual named Pablo Tarazaga-Orero was convicted of stalking Styles after camping outside his home for months. Styles stated in court that the experience left him feeling “unsafe at home.” He attempted to help Tarazaga-Orero when he discovered them sleeping at a bus stop outside his London home.
The Don’t Worry Darling actor also offered the 26-year-old food or a hotel room. It is reported that Tarazaga-Orero began pushing money and notes through Styles’ mailbox. After several instances of stalking and harassment, Tarazaga-Orento was arrested in early September 2022.

Styles was most recently spotted at the Manchester United football game on Sunday, February 18. He sat alongside ex-Luton football manager Mick Hartford in the stands at Kenilworth Road. He debuted a new haircut and wore a patterned blue and white sweater and black coat.
Judge Karim Ezzat ruled for the case to be heard again on April 19. Carvalho remains in custody.
