On March 9, Saturday Night Live will have Josh Brolin as a host, and Ariana Grande will join him as the musical guest. Both acts are no strangers to the SNL set since this will be Brolin’s third time hosting and Grande is back after eight years.

Ariana Grande’s last appearance was in 2016 as a host and performer. Her first time on the series was as a performer in 2014. Both times, her fans praised her for her part on the show, and they were very vocal on social media about their excitement for this upcoming performance.

Skits like “Vocal Impressions” and “What Will Be My Scandal?” are still praised for their excellence.  In “Vocal Impressions,” Grande shows her vocal range and incredible skills while paying homage to great singers like Shakira and Whitney Houston.

On the other hand, Josh Brolin is mostly known for his roles as Gurney Halleck in the Dune series and Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game. His appearance is part of the Dune: Part Two promotion tour since the movie is releasing on March 1. Like Grande, Brolin has been a part of SNL two times before, the first in 2008 and the second in 2012.

Previously, Brolin hosted first with Adele and later with Gotye as the performers. Some of his most known skits are “I’m No Angel” and “Laser Cats 7,” which has a Steven Spielberg appearance. On his Instagram announcement, he also referenced a past skit, “The Californians.”

Eternal Sunshine’s first single, “yes, and?” is already available to listen to on all platforms, and the music video has over 43 million views.

On top of that, the “positions” singer’s new album, Eternal Sunshine, is coming out one day before Saturday Night Live, March 8. Her fans are expecting to hear one of the songs from the new album on the stage.

The duo will be following Shane Gillis as a host, with 21 Savage as a performer on February 24 and Sydney Sweeney as a host for the first time, with Kacey Musgraves as the performer on March 2.

You can catch Saturday Night Live on NBC or with a Peacock subscription.
