Gabourey Sidibe Reveals Twin Pregnancy in New Instagram Post
Gabourey Sidibe announces she is expecting twins with her husband, Brandon Frankle.
In a joint Instagram post on February 27, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Goubery Sidibe and her husband, Brandon Frankle, announced that she is pregnant with twins. She joked in the caption, “We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility, so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of!” “Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun!” she continued.
The first picture displays Frankle with his arms around her baby bump. In another, the couple push a dual baby stroller with beaming smiles. In the final image, Sidibe poses alone, proudly displaying her stomach in a vibrant pink dress.
Sidibe and Frankle visited the Babylist Beverly Hills Showroom on Monday, February 26, where the photos were taken. They perused various products, including car seats, baby swings, high chairs, and bassinets.
In December 2022, Sidibe revealed on Live with Kelly and Ryan that Frankle proposed in November 2020, and the couple was privately married a few months later in March 2021. “We got married at the kitchen table; it was just us,” Sidibe explained as her husband flashed his ring from the audience.
She continued to detail her distaste for weddings, “We’ll have a wedding. I’ve not liked weddings since before there was a partner involved. It’s too much… My mom was a wedding singer growing up. I’ve been at a lot of weddings uninvited and been the weird kid eating cake at a stranger’s wedding, and now I don’t like them.”
Shortly after the announcement made waves online, Frankle took to Instagram, writing, “So thankful to have found my forever person, my partner-in-crime, and the love of my life.” Sidibe also made a post to commemorate their special day, adding, “We really do want to have a wedding someday, but I just couldn’t wait to marry this amazing man.”
Most recently, Sidibe has acted as co-host on the reality comedy series The Prank Panel alongside Eric André and Johnny Knoxville. Premiering in May 2023, the show centers on the trio listening to prank pitches and choosing their favorites to bring to life with hired actors and unknowing participants.
