First Look at Camila Mendes in Música

The first look official poster and trailer have been released for the upcoming film Música, starring Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso.

The film is a coming-of-age romantic story that revolves around Rudy, portrayed by Mancuso. Rudy has synesthesia, allowing him to hear music from everyday sounds. The film follows his journey as he learns to deal with the pressures of family, love, and Brazilian culture while also coming to terms with his future. Mendes portrays Isabella, Rudy’s romantic partner.

Camila Mendes is a rising star in the acting world, thanks to her breakout roles as Veronica Lodge in the popular CW drama series, Riverdale, and her lead role in the 2022 comedy film, Do Revenge. Moreover, she has been nominated for four Teen Choice Awards for her performance in Riverdale, winning one for Scene Stealer. Additionally, she has received three nominations for the People’s Choice Awards in the favorite female TV star category.

Mancuso is known for his smaller roles in the superhero television series The Flash and the sci-fi adventure film Rim of the World. Furthermore, Mancuso directed, co-wrote, and created the music for the film, with producer and writer Dan Lagana (American Vandal).

Just based on the trailer, we can see that the two actors share great chemistry on screen. They seemed to get close while filming. Moreover, this was confirmed when Mendes posted a photo of them together on her Instagram last Valentine’s Day, making their relationship official and confirming speculation by fans. She posted again this Valentine’s Day, sharing a thoughtful caption about how supportive Mancuso is as her partner.
