In light of her highly anticipated album Brat, Charli XCX has released its first single. “Von dutch” is now available for streaming everywhere.

On February 28, the hyper-pop star took to social media to announce her sixth studio album, Brat. Moreover, the LP will be released later this summer with 15 tracks and a run time of around 41 minutes. “Von dutch” is the first single from Brat, and fans are obsessing over it already.

According to Genius, “Von dutch” is full of confidence, house music, and all the fun club vibes. The pre-chorus packs a punch with a repeated affirmation of, “I’m your number one.” The heavy base and synth give the track its club-like feel. Additionally, the chorus brings in that confident, almost cocky feel with “I’m just living that life. Von Dutch, cult classic, but I still pop. I get money, you get mad because the bank’s shut.” Charli’s listeners are to find their inner dancer with the intense beats and ego-boosting lyrics.

Furthermore, other celebrities have shown their love for “Von dutch” and the upcoming album. Fellow hyper-pop artist Kim Petras expressed her admiration for the song in an Instagram comment, highlighting the action-packed visuals in the music video. In an earlier Instagram post announcing Brat, the Bratz toy brand commented, “We’re listening…” under the album’s news.

Although fans have had mixed reactions to Brat‘s cover art, their responses to “Von dutch” indicate a bright future for both the single and the album. In the meantime, you can listen to “Von dutch” and watch the official music video below. Fans can pre-save Brat here
