Dune 3 in Works After Part Two’s Successful Opening Weekend
The epic sequel to the science fiction hit comes nearly three years after the first Dune, amassing almost $180 million worldwide in its opening weekend.
With the success of both films in the series, Warner Brothers has not confirmed if, or when a third installment is coming, but director Denis Villeneuve has high hopes.
“But I would love [and] I think it would make sense to me to totally finish Paul Atreides’ arc by doing ‘Dune Messiah,’ and it’s in the works right now,” the director stated.
Thank you to audiences everywhere for making #DuneMovie the #1 movie in the world.

With Barbie and Dune being two of the most successful films produced by Warner Brothers, it’s safe to say Villeneuve’s dreams of completing the trilogy might come true in the near future.
Chalamet is also hopeful, but he teased about the second film’s success. “The rule is, I think, this would have to be successful…Knock on wood. Fingers crossed,” the actor stated.
With the film currently sitting at $183 million in box office earnings, Dune: Part Two is an action-packed thrill ride that fans do not want to miss. You can watch the film now at a theater near you.
