Chungha Makes New Comeback This March
The K-pop sensation Chungha is finally having her long-awaited comeback. After her one-year and five-month hiatus, the solo artist has a new single featuring ATEEZ’s Hongjoong.
Chungha placed fourth in MNet’s survival reality show Produce 101 and debuted in the now-disbanded girl group I.O.I. Fans wondered how her career was going to be after parting since she is a strong artist. Finally, she debuted as a solo artist and has extremely well-acclaimed songs, with intriguing choreography heavily inspired by voguing.
This new comeback is already creating conversation online, and fans are excited to see what she will bring to this new song. There’s some promotional content out, including photos and a teaser video that includes snippets of the new song.

In March of 2023, Chungha left her label MNH Entertainment, which she has been under since before her debut in 2016. In October of the same year, she joined Jay Park’s recent label, MORE VISION. Jay Park was a member of the boy group 2PM under JYP Entertainment, but since 2010 has been making music solo.
Chungha recently revealed that over 30 companies reached out to her after she departed from MNH. This further displays how she is a great artist with a strong pull in the industry.

“I think I was quite naive and a bit vulnerable, but I wanted to go through this [period] wisely,” she told Eric Nam on his online show, The Daebak Show, about her period without a label.
On top of that, the singer opened up about wanting to be away from the rigid career more strong and traditional K-pop companies offer. It is common for K-pop idols to be overworked and not choose their career path, like doing concerts and tours or the pace of releasing music.
watching the highlight of Chungha's part on Radio Star and not only Jay Park gave her advices but instead of promising her frequent cb, lots of money etc he talked about the future with concert, tours etc… things Chungha never had the chance to do 🙁

Her departure from her original label wasn’t exactly amicable. For instance, they didn’t release the second part of her last album with them and give her access to any of her social media accounts. That led her fans to create campaigns on social media platforms for people to unfollow the original accounts and start following the new ones.
Chungha’s new single and music video will come out on March 11. You can watch the teaser video for “EENIE MEENIE” featuring ATEEZ’s Hongjoong below.
