Millie in ‘Malibu,’ The Collaboration That Never Was
In a recent interview, Millie Bobby Brown reveals that she was asked to star in Miley Cyrus’s “Malibu” music video.
In an interview with PopBuzz, actress Millie Bobbie Brown let some details slip about a possible collaboration between her and singer Miley Cyrus.
Over the course of her career, the Stranger Things star has made several cameos in different music videos, namely “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5. “I’ve been in three now and Maroon 5 was the best, clearly I just, like, loved it.” The actress appeared alongside other celebrities and models as a testament to girl power.
However, Brown’s career is busy, which means that she has had to turn down a few offers. “I was asked to be in ‘Malibu’ by Miley Cyrus. I didn’t do it because I was filming Stranger Things. But that was the coolest offer I’ve ever been able to like–That’s Hannah Montana! That’s my dream! So there we go.” While feeling regretful about the offer, she still showcased that like all of us, it’s possible to be starstruck. How could anyone not be sad about having to turn down an opportunity to work with Miley Cyrus?
Ok but this Millie Bobby Brown and @MileyCyrus crossover would have been ✨everything✨

Even though she has a busy schedule, the Enola Holmes actress is sad that she cannot make cameos in music videos as a result of her other commitments. “Yes, I’ve surprisingly been asked to be in quite a few music videos. I’ve actually wanted to do all of them. I can’t just be a music video star, you know, I have to stop somewhere.” Even at a young age, Brown emphasizes the importance of boundaries, and we are so here for it.
When she is not being asked to star in music videos, Brown can be seen acting and producing in award-winning productions like Stranger Things and Enola Holmes. Her newest endeavor, Damsel, will be available for streaming exclusively on Netflix on March 8.
