The anthology horror series continues with a new cast. THEM stars Pam Grier, Deborah Ayorinde, and Luke James and will premiere on Prime Video this April.
The first season, subtitled Covenant, follows North Carolina couple Livia “Lucky” Emory (Deborah Ayorinde) and Henry Emory (Ashley Thomas) on their decision to uproot their family to an all-white neighborhood in 1953 California. There, they battle the forces around them, both natural and supernatural. They are not only haunted by the ghosts in their house but also by neighbors and the past. While they overcome the spirits and their trauma, they cannot beat the racism surrounding them. The season ends with the family facing cops outside their home.
THEM will return to California for the new season, with Deborah Ayorinde starring as a new character. The story in Los Angeles circa 1991 focuses on LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve (Ayorinde). She is assigned a murder case of a foster home mother. Her gruesome death has rocked the most hardened detectives. Dawn Reeve is determined to stop the killer. As she closes in on the truth, something evil and vicious, possibly even otherworldly, attaches to her and her family. Pam Grier will portray Athena, and Luke James will portray Edmund Gaines.
"Them" the Series is the most brilliant show I've done.
