Love Is Blind, Everything You Need to Know about the Reunion
Last night, the famous reality television series Love Is Blind released its reunion episode on Netflix. Here’s what you need to know.
Season 6 of Love Is Blind has been messy, to say the least–and last night’s reunion episode was certainly no different. Let’s unpack what happened.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the series, Love is Blind is an experiment that challenges the way human beings find love. During the experiment, men and women meet, get to know each other, and eventually get engaged: all without seeing each other.
This season was jam-packed with drama, and only one couple, Amy and Johnny, made it past the altar. They were committed to each other from the start, and it seems like their bond has only grown stronger since the experiment. In an interview with Tudum, Johnny stated “I love her so much more now than in the pods or when we were first married.”
One of the strongest couples, AD and Clay have made amends after Clay turned AD down at the altar. The entire event was emotional, leaving viewers shocked. The two originally seemed so committed to each other, that Clay’s decision to walk away as a single man was disappointing. However, at the reunion, Clay got emotional, claiming that AD was the love of his life. AD did not seem convinced and believed that he had lost his shot, walking away as a single but confident woman.
Perhaps the biggest shocker of this season was the split between Laura and Jeramy, which ended as a result of Jeramy’s possible infidelity with one of the other pod members, Sarah Ann. On the reunion episode, the two revealed that they had been dating since Laura and Jeramy ended their engagement. The entire “pod squad” absolutely lit into Sarah Ann, claiming that she was “not a girl’s girl” and a “pick me girl.” Laura even stated that she has “no respect for either of them” and that “there will never be a friendship.”
The drama does not end there, though. After the season aired, fans began to realize that the once lovable Trevor was not as he appeared. In fact, he had a girlfriend back home that he was still texting at the time of the experiment. During the reunion, hosts Vanessa and Nick Lachey called him out for his dubious intentions, sealing his fate by reading the texts on air.
One of the more wholesome moments of this special episode was the appearance of former cast members. The network brought out some of the experiment’s successes, and fans had the chance to hear what their favorite couples were up to.
