Netflix Releases New Look at Bridgerton Season 3

Netflix gives a sneak peek at Bridgerton season three. Part One of the season will be released on May 16, with Part Two coming out on June 13. 

The new clip displays the beloved characters, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley), dancing together at a ball. This clip brings much excitement to fans of the series since season two was released two years ago. According to Forbes, this season of Bridgerton became the most popular English language series on Netflix. It totaled 627.11 million streaming hours during its first four weeks. Additionally, it surpassed season one, which previously held this spot with 625.49 million hours viewed. 

Bridgerton follows eight siblings who try to navigate life and find love. Season one follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset’s (Regé-Jean Page) courtship. Next, season two explores Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma’s enemies-to-lovers romance. Each season will focus on one of the Bridgerton siblings and their prospective partners. The series is based on the Bridgerton novels by Julia Quinn. Quinn published eight books in this series that the Netflix adaptation will follow. 

Season three will focus on the characters Penelope Featherington ​​(Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). Penelope, who has had a longtime crush on Colin, decides it’s time to give up her feelings and start trying to find a different husband. Colin decides he will try to help her in her search. However, as the lessons continue, Colin begins to fall for Penelope. The viewers will get to watch the two begin their friends-to-lovers story. This season will grapple with the confusion and whirlwind that is young love, friendships, and navigating societal expectations.

The series began filming season 3 in July 2022. In a video, you can see beloved cast members holding up a two with their fingers and changing it so that they are holding a three. This movement confirmed to fans that the production of season 3 was underway.
