Beyoncé will be presented with the Innovator Award at this year’s iHeart Radio Music Awards on Monday, April 1. The show will air live on Fox.

iHeart Radio states that the Innovator Award is given to one artist who continuously contributes to pop culture and the music industry. This year, they chose Beyoncé. USA Today revealed that the media company gave their reasons for choosing her in a recent press release.

“Few artists in the course of history have taken creative risks, successfully transformed their music and influenced pop culture on the level that Beyoncé has,” the release stated. “Throughout the years, the global cultural icon has created music that has topped the charts across multiple formats, while also architecting groundbreaking tours, including last year’s RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR — the highest-grossing tour in history for both an R&B artist and a Black female artist.”

It makes complete sense. In recent weeks, Beyoncé’s foray into country music broke multiple records. She paved the way for other Black country artists with just two singles. Moreover, her entire career is filled with jaw-dropping successes. She made history with 32 Grammy wins under her belt. Safe to say, the 42-year-old singer has cemented herself as an icon.

Furthermore, according to People, the iHeart Radio Music Awards will be held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Rapper Ludacris will host the show and perform. “I’m looking forward to hosting the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards and sharing the stage with some of the best in music. It will be an amazing night celebrating fan-favorite artists with special performances that fans won’t want to miss,” he stated.

During the show, Beyoncé will be presented with the 2024 Innovator Award. This honor arrives just two days after the release of her debut country album, Cowboy Carter. The Innovator Award will add to the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s impressive list of accolades.
