New Mother of the Bride Photos Released
New photos from the screenplay of Netflix‘s upcoming romantic comedy, Mother of the Bride, give a glimpse into the highly anticipated film.
Mother of the Bride is a film you only hear about in books, however, director Mark Waters made it a reality. Featuring Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove, Benjamin Bratt, and Sean Teale, this romantic comedy will bring you all the feels.
Emma (Cosgrove) returns from a trip to London only to reveal to her mother Lana (Shields) that she’s engaged. Not only is she engaged, but she and her fiancé RJ (Teale) are having their destination wedding in one month in Thailand. Things go from bad to worse when Lana realizes her future son-in-law is the son of Will (Bratt), the man who broke her heart years ago.

The cast also includes Chad Michael Murray, Rachael Harris, Wilson Cruz, Michael McDonald, Tasneem Roc, and Dalip Sondhi.
Shields, Cosgrove, Bratt, and Teale were announced as the stars in early March 2023. Production followed a month later, and the release date was announced on January 31.
Brooke Shields has been in the media since she was 11 months old. She debuted her filming career at age 11 in Alice, Sweet Alice, but gained popularity at 13 when she starred in Pretty Baby. In addition, she also starred in The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love before leading her own series, Suddenly Susan. Miranda Cosgrove debuted in the Nickelodeon hit series, Drake and Josh at 11. Her role in this series led to her own, titled iCarly, which received a reboot nine years later. She is also known for her role in the Despicable Me trilogy and is filming for the fourth installment.

Bratt is most known for his role in Blood In, Blood Out, which he starred in at 30. That same year, he had a supporting film role in Demolition Man. He’s starred in many films since, such as Coco, Miss Congeniality, and the series Poker Face. Teale’s most recent acting job was in Who is Erin Carter? Before that, he starred in Reign, Skins, and Rosaline.
Mother of the Bride is set to release on May 9 on Netflix.
