Mia Goth’s MaXXXine: First Look at Exciting Thriller Film
The official trailer for MaXXXine starring Mia Goth has been released. It features a first look at the cast and Goth’s return as Maxine Minx.
A24 will distribute the third and final installment of the slasher film trilogy. The official trailer was posted to their social media accounts to give fans a thrilling first look at what they can expect to see. MaXXXine will be released in theaters on July 5.
The story will take place in Hollywood in the 1980s. The story follows adult film star, Maxine Minx’s journey to become an actress. It will be a horror/thriller, as a serial killer known as the Night Stalker terrorizes rising Hollywood stars. The third film will take place years after the events of the second film, X. In this film, Maxine witnessed her friends and film crew being murdered by an elderly Pearl, who was also the star of the first film, Pearl.

Mia Goth will return as Maxine Minx, along with some new all-star cast members who will appear in the series for the first time. New actors that will join Goth include, Halsey as Tabby (Sing 2), Lily Collins as Molly (Emily in Paris), Kevin Bacon (Footloose), Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian), Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown), Moses Sumney (The Idol), Michelle Monaghan (True Detective), Bobby Cannavale (The Watcher), and also Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets), Chloe Farnworth as Amber (12 Hour Shift), and Zachary Mooren (Val).

Minx is reinventing herself this time, moving from adult entertainment to horror films. She hopes this will lead her to Hollywood stardom. Bacon will portray a private detective who is hired to track down Minx. He warns her that the past will keep knocking on her door. Additionally, Cannavale and Monaghan will also portray LAPD detectives, presumably working to find the serial killer. Esposito will act as an agent in the adult film industry. More specifics on characters are unknown at this time.
An official poster was also unveiled, featuring the film’s title MaXXXine which looks like the Hollywood sign letters, perfect for the plot of the Los Angeles-based film.

The film was written and directed by Ti West, who also worked on the first two. He is teaming up with Jacob Jaffke, Kevin Turen, Harrison Kreiss, and Goth to produce the film. The production companies include Motel Mojave and Access Entertainment. The cinematography was done by Eliot Rockett, and the music was done by Tyler Bates who is known for scoring films like Guardians of the Galaxy and John Wick.
Many horror fans are catching exciting details in the trailer, including a cameo from the Bates Motel and the Psycho house.

Pearl and X are named as some of the best modern horror films, earning praise from the most notable filmmakers today including Martin Scorcese. The filmmaker stated that it was enthralling and disturbing, and he couldn’t stop watching. This third film is exciting for fans and is sure to follow the other films’ footsteps.
