This fall, a special re-release of Christopher Nolan’s film Interstellar will return to theaters in Imax 70mm format to celebrate its 10-year anniversary.

The picture impressively amassed $188 million in the United States during its initial theatrical run. It garnered $733 million from international markets, showcasing its widespread appeal and box office success.

Fans are thrilled that Paramount Pictures will re-release the film in the fall. They eagerly anticipate seeing it on the big screen for the first time since its announcement at this year’s CinemaCon.

The film, with an ensemble cast that includes acclaimed talents like Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Matt Damon, transports viewers to a bleak and unsettling dystopian future world.

This picture intricately captures the journey of a diverse team of skilled astronauts as they embark on a dangerous mission into outer space, searching for a new planet to call home since Earth is becoming uninhabitable. Their expedition aims to find a habitable new world, compelled by the urgent need to secure a sustainable future due to the Earth’s deteriorating environment.

This exciting news follows Nolan’s victory at the Oscars ceremony, where he received recognition as the best director for his outstanding work on Oppenheimer, solidifying his position as a cinematic master.

That wasn’t the only award his film Oppenheimer brought home. The film won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, Best Director for Nolan, and Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr.

Interstellar isn’t the only one of Nolan’s films to receive a re-release. Tenet also underwent a re-release this past February. Regal Cinemas has announced they will also screen Inception, Dunkirk, Insomnia, and The Dark Knight for $5.

Fans can watch the film’s re-release on September 27.
