This was announced on Wednesday, April 17, marking him as the only representative of hip-hop on this prestigious list. Each person on the list has someone vouch for them.
Burna Boy, a fellow singer, wrote an excerpt for TIME expressing how fitting this title was for 21 Savage. Moreover, Burna Boy endorsed 21 Savage’s significance, connecting deeply with the rapper’s narrative.
