Sadie Sink Turns 22: Here Is Her Trajectory
Despite just turning 22, Sadie Sink already has a career of 11 years, including a Broadway title role, an Emmy-winning series, and an Oscar-winning film.
Sink joined the cast of the Netflix series Stranger Things during the second season. Her role as Max Mayfield earned her a breakthrough in her career.
With the role of Mayfield, Sink displayed her acting skills, from dramatic scenes to comedy moments with the other cast members. Sink and Millie Bobby Brown were also praised for their on and off-screen chemistry as friends. The series earned 57 Emmy nominations and 12 Emmy wins, including winning Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series in 2017.

Additionally, Sink starred in the Oscar-winning film The Whale. Her character, Ellie, is the daughter of the main character, Charlie, portrayed by Brendan Fraser.
The film was Fraser’s first significant role back in Hollywood after being blacklisted for calling out Philip Berk, the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for sexual assault in 2018.
Her career started in 2011 when Sink was only nine years old, she performed at the Theater Under the Stars. In 2012, she joined the Broadway revival of Annie as an ensemble member. By July 2013, Sink was alternating the role with Taylor Richardson as the main character. Subsequently, Sink decided to pursue a full-time acting career.

Furthermore, Sink was the main character in Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film alongside Dylan O’Brien. Sink and O’Brien developed a friendship with Swift after recording the short film. “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” was one of the singles from RED (Taylor’s Version) to get a music video.
In addition, fans of Swift on the internet call turning 22 years old their “Taylor Swift Year” due to her famous single, “22” from the album RED (Taylor’s Version). Three years after releasing the short film, Sink is turning her “Taylor Swift Year.”

In July 2023, Sink announced on her Instagram that she was an ambassador for Armani Beauty.
