New Trailer Drops for Transformers One
The first trailer for the anticipated Transformers One dropped and has fans mixed for a new franchise installment.
The film will be an animated prequel and star the voice of Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime, who will follow the beloved voice of Peter Cullen. Brian Tyree Henry will voice Megatron. Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansen joins them along with Keegan Michael-Key, Jon Hamm, Laurence Fishburne, and Steve Buscemi.
Transformers has seen its fair share of live-action pictures ever since the smash summer hit, directed by Michael Bay, was released in 2007. The sequels received mixed reactions from fans and critics but raked at the box office.

Two films, Bumblebee and Transformers: Rise of The Beats, have been released since Bay last directed. However, they have stuck to the live-action formula he originally brought to theaters. Bay will remain a producer for the newest installment. This will be the first animated film since the nostalgic cartoon picture released in 1986, Transformers: The Movie.

Lorenzo Bon Di Venturi, also a producer on the project, discussed the picture’s potential for even greater excitement. In an interview with fthe film news site, JoBlo, he expressed, “We’re hoping that there is enough emotional construct to that, that would lead to a trilogy of it because, personally, I think there’s a natural trilogy.”
The prequel will go into the origins of the Transformers. Optimus Prime and Megatron started as brothers, then became vital enemies. In addition, the history of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons will be explored. The film is scheduled to release on September 20 of this year.
Fans are both excited and nervous about the franchise’s unique pivot. Check out the trailer below.
