Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Now in Production
Netflix’s high school drama, Ginny and Georgia has officially started the first day of filming for season three
This morning, Netflix tweeted the news that season 3 is starting production, accompanied by some sweet photos of the cast members reuniting.

Season 2 was released on Netflix on January 5, 2023, so many fans were shocked to hear that they were beginning to film after the last season came out over a year ago. Many assumed the cast had already filmed the new season and expected a release date.
Despite the unexpected news, the anticipation and joy for the return of the series is palpable. Fans are thrilled at the prospect of hearing the good news and seeing some familiar faces back on their screens again.
The official Ginny & Georgia Instagram account @gngbts posted the same photo of the cast sitting around a table with their characters’ names on signs. Each actor holds up three fingers with the caption, “Happy first day of filming season 3!!!” They pair the text with emojis, including the signature peach emoji the series uses to represent a Georgia peach.
The cast also took to social media this morning to share new photos to get fans excited.
Brianne Howey, the lead actress who embodies the beloved Georgia, poses in a photo with her onscreen children, Antonia Gentry, who portrays her daughter Ginny, and Diesel La Torraca, who portrays her son Austin.
Howey also includes photos of her other costars, including her three love interests in the series, Scott Porter (Paul), Raymond Ablack (Joe), and Nathan Mitchell (Zion).
Gentry also shared new photos of her castmates and a group photo of her best friends in the series, her “mang” friend group, the acronym for all four of their names (Maxine, Abby, Norah, and Ginny). Felix Mallard is also in the photo, portraying Marcus, her love interest throughout the series.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement about the news on X after finally seeing the cast back together.

Season 2 wrapped filming in September 2022 and was released in January 2023. So, with the same timeline, we can assume that we will get the new season by the end of this year or early 2025.
The series continues to gain popularity even during this year-long break, gaining new viewers and fans daily.
It should be exciting to see what happens to the mother-daughter duo next. After a shocking season finale cliffhanger and Georgia’s arrest for murder, it will be a lot of fun to see how the next season starts and if Georgia can use her Southern charm to get out of this one.
