Additionally, when asked what she’s singing about recently, Blige stated, “Mary is singing about life. Life… love… being stable and understanding you can have things like love. You can have a good life.”

Furthermore, in her interview with EXTRA she clarified that “Right now, I’m still doing what I’m doing but not as often as I was doing it because I don’t have to now.”

Blige is already thinking about what the future holds for her beyond music. Before you worry about this news, the artist has been showcasing her talent in unforgettable films. These films include  Rock Ages, Mudbound, and the 2021 Aretha Franklin biopic Respect

Moreover, the singer’s achievements continue to grow. Most recently, she was inducted into the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Alongside Blige will be Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Ozzy Osbourne, and A Tribe Called Quest at this year’s RRHOF induction ceremony in Cleveland on October 19.

In a recent interview with Tamron Hall, Blige shared that she was “still trying to process” the news of her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Blige asserted “It’s a big deal. I’m just so grateful because I know it didn’t have to be this way but it is this way, and I give all the credit to God. I don’t even know what else to do. It’s just so humbling.”

Additionally, at the beginning of April, Blige spoke to People about her third annual Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit, held in her hometown of New York City from May 10-12 for Mother’s Day weekend.
