The Boys Gets a New Trailer

Prime Video

The upcoming fourth season of the Amazon Prime series, The Boys has a new trailer that will leave fans filled with anticipation.

During Comic Con in Mexico, the CCXP Mexico and Amazon Prime dropped the trailer for season four of their hit series, The Boys. The series’ first season was released in 2019, and is based on the comic book series of the same name that released over 70 issues from 2006 to 2012. Despite having the same characters and similar storylines, the series and the comics have diverging arcs.

The franchise became known for its gory and violent moments accompanied by smartly placed comedic moments. The whole story is also a political commentary on many relevant topics in society. The series pokes fun at the superhero trope and displays a different perspective from the Marvel and DC universes. For example, in 2019 the MCU released Avengers: End Game and their films were at a high. That same year, Amazon Prime released The Boys.

In the trailer, fans can already see loved or hated characters and a couple of new additions. There are also clips of characters from the series spin-off, Gen V (2023). The spin-off followed the story from the end of season three of The Boys but from a different perspective. Moreover, Gen V explained important information about the lore of the franchise, and season four will pick up from where Gen V ended.

Additionally, fans can see the decision Ryan makes between choosing to go with Homelander or Billy Butcher and the consequences of those actions. Cate Dunlap and Sam from Gen V are seen next to Homelander, which refers to them getting recruited by the character. Lastly, fans can see the main gang, including Hughie, Frenchie, Mother’s Milk, and Kimiko fighting new enemies.

The first three episodes of season four will be released on Amazon Prime on June 13, and the other episodes will be released every Thursday. You can watch the trailer below.
