In the true story-inspired film Hit Man, Powell will portray Gary Johnson, a professor pretending to be a professional killer. A woman named Maddy Masters (Adria Arjona) hires him to protect her from her abusive husband, Ray (Evan Holtzman). In the process, he finds himself falling in love with her. The romantic action comedy will hit theaters on May 24.

Twisters focuses on a group of storm chasers tracking a tornado. Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones), traumatized by her past experiences with storm-chasing, is lured back into chasing by her friend, Javi (Anthony Ramos), to test a new tracking system. Powell joins them as Tyler Owens, a social media star popular for his reckless chasing adventures. The group gets caught in the storm as it intensifies, and they find themselves fighting for their lives. Twisters will be in theaters on July 19.

Revenge thriller Huntington follows Becket Redfellow, portrayed by Powell, the heir to a multi-billion dollar fortune. He is determined to get what he thinks he deserves, and nothing will stand in his way. Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris join him, alongside in the cast.

A remake of the original, Running Man is a dystopian action film based on a novel of the same name by horror author Stephen King. Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally cast in the role. However, Powell will be taking his place in the revamp. Ben Richards is poor. He has no job, no money, and a sick daughter that needs medical attention. With no way to pay for it, his only solution is to join a game show where the only task is to stay alive.

The leading star in the true story Monsanto, Powell portrays attorney Brent Wisner who takes on a case against the large U.S. chemical company Monsanto on behalf of Dewayne “Lee” Johnson, cast by Anthony Mackie. Johnson used the company’s most popular product, a weed and grass pesticide killer called Roundup, as part of his job as a high school groundskeeper and is now suffering illnesses. They will be joined by Laura Dern, as Monsanto’s toxicologist.

A Hulu series, Chad Powers is based on the docuseries Eli’s Places created by Eli Manning. To learn more about the college football walk-on process, Manning, in a wig and prosthetic makeup, goes undercover in the Penn State football tryouts. Powell portrays Russ Holiday, a bad boy who ruined his college football career. He disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as Chad Powers.

Although it has not been confirmed, there might be a potential Top Gun: Maverick sequel on the way.

To prepare for Powell’s charm, watch his most recent film, Anyone but You, on Netflix.
