Relive the 90s With Colourpop’s New Pokémon Collection
Colourpop, Pokémon chooses you. The cosmetic company, known for its notorious collaborations, announced its newest project – none other than the nostalgic Pokémon franchise.
The collection is set to take makeup rookies and connoisseurs on the journey of Kanto and pay homage to the fan-favorite characters that have taken the world (including Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade) by storm. Colourpop has curated a bountiful collection, covering the eyes, lips, and cheeks in vibrant new shades and technology.
It isn’t a Colourpop collab without an exciting eyeshadow palette on the horizon. The collectible “Pallet Town” eyeshadow palette ($30) contains 24 vibrant shades. Created with the brand’s silky yet pigmented formula, the palette will keep you busy coming up with an array of fun looks. Bonus points for the Pokémon logo indentation in the red shade, staying true to the franchise.
If you want to add that extra oomph to your eyes, opt for their popular Super Shock Shadows ($9). The crème-to-powder shadow promises a creamy, sparkly finish with no fallout, this time, coming in blue, teal, and orange shades.
Get ready to battle with the Instant Crush Cream Blush ($14). The cream blush seamlessly blends into the skin for a diffused, natural finish. Aligning themselves with the vibrancy of the eyeshadow palette, the blushes come in three shades, ranging from light pink to purple, inspired by Pikachu, Clefable, and Gengar.
It’s impossible to finish a look without primping the lips, and Colourpop isn’t skimping out on the options. First, the Berry Lip Mask ($12) is infused with shea butter and vitamin E to ensure smooth, hydrated lips.
Now, back to the new technology we mentioned earlier. In this collection, Colourpop will debut their Transforming pH Lip Balms ($12), which utilize color-changing technology to formulate the ideal pink shade on your lips. The three options, inspired by Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Ditto, will react to your lips’ natural pH balance for a natural, glossy finish.
The collection is copious, so, you can purchase singular items, the full collection, or mini bundles geared toward specific products.
Sound exciting? Well, you won’t have to wait long – as a matter of fact, you can head over to the virtual shelves of Colourpop or ULTA Beauty starting May 12 and grab the entire collection now.
