The film will be a Roman Epic fable in a newly imagined modern America after a devastating disaster. Cannes Film Festival describes the story, “The City of New Rome must change, causing conflict between Cesar Catilina, a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero, who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare.”
Catilina has the power to control time, and he is an architect hoping to use it to rebuild a new and sustainable utopia, all while the corrupt Mayor is committed to his greedy ideas. Socialite Julia Cisero is torn between the two characters, as she is the Mayor’s daughter but is in love with Catilina. She must decide who she is loyal to and choose what she believes humanity deserves.
“When does an Empire die? Does it collapse in one terrible moment? No, no. But there comes a time when its people no longer believe in it.”

With the story based in a futuristic New York City, it has the potential to create visually stunning graphics in such a huge city, and based on the trailer, it looks like it did an incredible job using the city-like setting to its advantage.
On social media, fans praise the stunning visuals and still photos taken from the trailer. Each clip looks beautifully made and will make for an enthralling cinematic experience.
