Bella Hadid Talks Family and New Business on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’
Founder of Orebella and Kin Euphorics, 27-year-old supermodel Bella Hadid made her first talk show appearance this week on The Drew Barrymore Show. She reflected on her emotions leading up to the show, confessing, “Being on a TV show is scary. Obviously, if I was going to do it with anybody, it has to be Drew.”
Unsurprisingly, the fashion icon’s outfit did not disappoint, stunning the audience with an ethereal nude mesh slip dress from Christian Dior’s 2004 Spring Collection by John Galliano.
During the interview, she discusses her bond with her older sister and supermodel, Gigi Hadid. “Well, it’s inevitable to fight, right? But it’s always to know that you’re gonna come back from it. And I think that is what’s so important about my sister and I going through life. Like we’re best friends and have regular sister stuff, like stealing clothes, getting the front seat, you know,” she states with a laugh.
Not only do the sisters share the runway, but also a similar love for music. Both the sisters are full-on Swifties, with Hadid mentioning, “She was a Swiftie; I loved Lil Wayne. . . Now I can say I’m a Swiftie too.”
She continues, “She’s friends with Taylor and Taylor’s amazing. She’s just like the most humble, sweet, adorable human being. And then all of a sudden she’s this superstar. It’s just, you know, that’s what’s interesting about the celebrity thing.”
Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid have been supportive friends since Gigi’s appearance in Grammy winner’s 2015 “Bad Blood” music video. On Sunday night, Gigi was spotted enjoying Swift’s Eras Tour show in Paris with rumored beau Bradley Cooper and Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Bella Hadid also touched upon her close relationship with her mother, Yolanda Hadid. She recalls her mother’s unwavering support, “The way that my mom has supported me, loved me, and been my advocate and ride or die.” According to Bella, Yolanda has provided Bella, Gigi, and younger brother Anwar Hadid with great childhoods—“She gave us the best ways to grow up.”
In a heartfelt moment, the supermodel tells Barrymore about how her mother has stood by her through her battle with Lyme disease and her newly launched fragrance brand, Orebella. “My mom stood by me through all of it. She pushed me to keep going back into those big rooms where I felt small and she made me feel big,” she shared.
Despite this being Bella Hadid’s debut on a talk show, she provided a heartfelt, authentic glimpse into her life, filled with love, support, and family bonds.
